Beef in Oyster Sauce

Beef in Oyster Sauce Stir Fry

Pad Nua Nam Man Hoye

Beef-Oyster-Sauce-Stir-Fry-RecipeBeef Stir Fry with Oyster Sauce with Sweet Chillies (bell peppers) and a few other tasty morsels such as Spring Onions (scallions) make this a beautiful savoury sweet dish and you can have it with or without chillies as we show you in the full video tutorial.

The trick with this recipe as with all stir fry recipes is preparation and timing! Cook it too slowly and the meat goes tough and the veggies become too soft. Of course this is easy on a Thai super burner but it can be done at home with a normal cooker and in this video tutorial we show you exactly how to master it every time.

The way this recipe is prepared gives you a lovely savoury sweet stir fry which you can spice up (with care) and has a very subtle aroma of sesame oil. It’s one of those Thai dishes everyone in the family will enjoy.

Serving Suggestions:
Serve with Jasmine rice of course; this dish is a great accompaniment to so many Thai recipes. Here’s a couple Khwanjai suggested in the video, try our BBQ Fish or BBQ Ribs with Garlic or a nice soup, see our Thai Soup Classes section.

Because of its sweet and savoury flavours it is often served with curries and spicy dishes in general, unless you’re doing the spicy version. As part of a main meal it would be served in a central bowl for all to share. Try our Pork Red Curry or maybe something rich and spicy like Dry Chicken Red Curry (it’s not dry like the name implies, it means no oil or milk is used in cooking) or perhaps a Ginger Chicken Stir Fry. Don’t fancy any of those ideas?  Try the site map and choose your own.

We also did a very useful video discussing this Beef Stir fry Recipe on our Thai Food blog

Khwanjai’s Top Tips:
